Tucson 2006 horn does not work

Default Tucson 2006 horn does not work

My horn does not work - never worked properly - sometimes when i stopped worked but not when I am driving !
Now is completely dead - How can I check it - Where is the fuese for it - i liek to check that first . It seems my alarm also does not work .

If it worked intermittently the problem is probably not the fuses as that is an all or nothing situation. However, the relay is located in the fuse box in the passenger compartment. Next check the horns themselves. The are located behind the front bumper and belowe the headlights. You have to remove the headlights to access them.

I tried to get the rely out - but could not -
Here is what happens however - the red panic button on key chain makes the horn work - however pushing the horn on steering wheel does not . rarely works ( 1 out of 80 times lets say ! ) - what should I look for ? Please assist .

Just use your DVOM and test for source voltage at horn connector,, then back track from there.

BTW,, what are we playing with ??

5yr/60,000 on horn if applicable in your case.

The horn for the alarm is different than the 2 horns for the steering wheel.



So having the alarm horn work means nothing about the steering wheel horns.

Check the relay and fuse.
