windshield wipers/inserts
I have a 2005 Tucson. I need to replace the wiper inserts (the rubber blade part) and went to Pep Boys. They didn't have the Tucson in their database, to my surprise, but told me if I could give them the make and model number of the windshield wiper assembly, they could probably tell me what I need to buy.
I'd prefer to buy only the insert, not the full assembly, but who knows how these are made.
I've looked at the wipers, but there are no visible markings of make or model.
Does anyone have the make and model number? Does anyone have instructions or a diagram for how to remove the old insert (or even the whole unit), replace the part and then set it back onto the car? This looks pretty tricky to me, particularly the rear wiper.
Thanks for your help. Judy

RE: windshield wipers/inserts
I also have a 2005 Tucson. I just replaced my front wipers: I bought Rain.X WeatherBeater 24-inch and 16-inch from Walmart. You just pull off the old ones and push on the new ones (you have to press in a clip to release the old ones and ensure that the new ones click into place). Walmart also carry the Rain.X Latitude which are more expensive but they are supposed to remain effective for longer (9 months instead of 6 months). I didn't know this, but you should replace your wiper blades every 12 months.
