Variety of Electrical Issues
2010 Hyundai Veracruz w/ AWD Option
A friend's husband died recently, and he drove this car. However, the car was i an accident and declared totaled having received significant damage on the driver side. Repairs have been done by "certified" shops and should be declared roadworthy, but a malfunctioning driverside power window prevents this. Three mechanics inspected the vehicle and said a new power window switch would fix the following problems.
1. The main switch will roll all the windows up/down except for the driver-side power window.
2. The power lock switch on the main switch will lock and unlock the passenger side doors, but not the driver side or the tailgate.
After replacing the master switch and the battery, the power window began to operate again, and all windows were functioning correctly, but the latter problem remained. However, after driving the car about 50 feet in reverse, the trunk began locking and unlocking via the master switch power lock switch, but the driver-side window stopped working and I was back to square one. The second mechanic said that he noticed the fuses were in the wrong place and wondered if faulty workmanship could have been contributed by the first mechanic shop.
The only thing that needs to work is the power windows. Any thoughts, comments, or ideas would be appreciated!
