Hello everyone. Just new to this forum. I recently purchased a 2004 XG350 and love it. At the time that a bought the car, I received 1 key and 1 key fob. Went to the dealership to get another master key cut and key fob programmed and was told that it would be impossible to get another master key cut without the "blue ID key". Apparently for this model year, the immobilization device needs this "blue ID key" to be able program a second key. There is no way to pull the codes from the car or get it from Hyundai. So basically I'm stuck with only one key. Only option is to remove and replace the immobilization system at a cost of approx $1200. Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do here? A good locksmith shop can create a duplicate key with a chip in it. It won't be cheap.

 

With a little bit of research on the internet, I managed to find the original owner of the car who still had the blue key plus another master key and key FOB. He mailed them to me! Thanks Shane in Orleans, Ontario
