Default Tire Wear

On my '05 when we bought it we noticed it was loud on the highway. We at first thought it was the way the Bridgestone Potenza G009 tires were going to be. It turns out that it has a front end alignment issue and the tires are 'feathering' or 'cupping' on the inside. For a 5 year old car (at the time) with 90,000 miles you think they would have checked it. I've read that this just may be the nature of the car. It also could just need aligned. Either way we finally have the money to do something about it.
So, I was checking on new tires for this and the guy said that they discontinued this tire. I was hoping to get just the front two replaced and get an alignment done. What I am now wondering is: can I just get an alignment done and then switch the tires front to back and wear the 'feathering' out of it? I'm told no, but what do you think? I want matching tires, but can't afford 4 new ones. Thanks,Scott

No, driving on them would be dangerous. You need to replace them.
