Will 05 Tucson wheels fit a 03 XG350L??
First of all, hello everyone. Hopefully some Hyundai pros here can help me out.
Like the subject says...
I am trying to buy a new set of wheels with snow tires for my 2003 XG350L. I've been looking up the specs of the stock wheels but can't find any concrete answers. I have the 70697 style. It looks like the offset is +31.75mm, however I've seen sources that say they are 16x6 and others that say 16x6.5
Measuring (they are on the car) it appears they are 6.5" rather than 6", but of course I can't be sure. Does anyone know which it is, or were they made with both?
The wheels I am looking to buy are from a 2005 Tucson with 215/60/R16 tires and measure 16"x6.5". From what I have found they have a +46mm offset. It looks like the tires will be close to the struts on the inside, but hopefully not rub. My real concern is the brake caliper clearance on the other side. Does anyone have any experience or know if these wheels will fit or not? The calipers seem to stick out farther than the hub and that has me a little concerned.
Thanks

I just pulled one of the wheels off. There are a bunch of numbers stamped on the inside, but one spot says 6Jx16-46.
Does that mean the wheel is 6"x16" with a 46mm offset? I can't see why everywhere else says these wheels are 31.75mm offset if they arent...

To answer your first question, yes, the Tucson wheels should fit your XG without any problems.
Second question, yes, the stamping means that are a 6" wide (measured between the INSIDE the lip of the wheel) by 16" in diameter with a +46mm offset.
Now, my question: which 2005 Tucson wheel? There are 2:
Base Model:
Mid and Top Level:
Both are 16" x 6.5" and have a 46mm offset. Personally I like the base model versions better. Since the offset is the same and the wheels is only 1/2" wider, that means the wheel and tire is only 1/4" closer to the strut and will stick out only 1/4" more on the outside of the wheel.
I have a 2006 Tucson. I use 18"x7" Hyundai Veracruz wheels for 3 seasons and 16" Azera wheels for the winter. My wife drives a 2008 Kia Rondo that uses the original 17" wheels (at least for now) for 3 seasons and my original 16" Tucson wheels for the winter.

Thanks for your reply!
I'm going to measure one of the current wheels today after work to be 100% certain of the offset. I don't get why everywhere online that I find my wheels they are listed as having 31.75mm offset, but the other XG350 stock wheels (12 spoke instead of 10) are 46mm offset. But I'm sure the stamping on the inside is correct. I'll see if the front wheel has the same numbers as the rear that I pulled last night. I need to check one of the fronts anyway - it sounds like a wheel bearing is going. If the ones I have are 31.75 I think it would be dangerously close to the suspension on the inside clearance with 46mm. With 0.5" wider rim and 14mm clearance the tire would be about 16.5mm closer to the suspension, and that is right about how much clearance there is now.
