Default Wiper Delay

While driving yesterday in a light rain in our '05 XG350 I noticed that while the wipers were in the 'delay' (intermittant) mode they would start working like they were in the 'On' mode. Is this normal? My wife said that her '02 Sonata ude to do that all the time. I would think that once you put the control in a certain place it should stay. Shouldn't it? Scott

The delay is speed sensitive. So if you don't change the delay setting, the wiper delay will decrease as the cars speed increases.

So if you are on the shortest delay possible, as you speed up, the delay will decrease to nothing and operate as of it were on steady. As you slow down the delay will increase and you will get a slight delay.
