Default xg 350

Today i changed all 6 spark plugs today, and then started having problems. The car has a choppy idle that changes between 500 and 700 while having a random backfire. The engine code that comes up is p1110 which is a Electronic Throttle System Malfunction. I went through all the connecters that i took off and check all prongs and connections. I replaced the egr and intake manifold gaskets with new one(due to the back 3 plugs being under the manifold). This problem started right after the plugs, so there has to be something im missing. any ideas?

I don't know if you are missing anything but something got screwed up doing the intake removal and re-installation. Based on the CEL code you got, I'd start with the electronic throttle.

You DO NOT want to even go there.. that system is the most goofed up piece of doo doo there is..

Even with TSB on how to diag, it is still a PAIN in backside.

You need to go back through and make sure you took care of what you took apart initially.. brake booster tube, EGR valve to the intake.. did you mis-place/wrinkle the thin aluminum gasket and have leak at EGR flange now ??

Did you replace the plenum gasket with the 6 holes in it,,, did you install it correctly... been a few out there that have admitted to wrong install of plenum gasket. Did you pull the green and yellow striped tubes off the throttle body to get EGR vacuum out of way, and install them wrong ?

Quickie you can try is turn key to "ON" position, and to off within 2 seconds... wait 30 seconds for throttle motor to cycle/count,, then restart and see how it acts..

If you have MIL, scan and see what you have... read the code(s) slowly and carefully, very easy with the 3.5 to go wrong direction due to way wording is worded..

lol yea replaced both gaskets(egr and intake) and checked all connectors and wires.... finally figured it out. Dumbest pain in the *** ever. a piece of the rubber intake hose broke off when i slid it back on the tb and got stuck under the plate so the plate could not close all the way. i feel like an effing retard for over analyzing the problem lol. o well easy fix and thanks for the help guys.
