Hello, I am new to the forum./ I found the forum while looking for a fix to the stuck gear shift in my 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Not sure if this topic has come up before and I am not used to forums but I am looking for help. I hope someone can or will be able to steer me in the correct direction. The Automatic is stuck in Park. Stepping on brake allows the button on handle to be pushed in but shifter doesn't move. Brake lights work I can get it to reverse, backup lights come on.... vehicle does not have a bypass to override the lock that I have seen. Before this there have been no problems with the shifter. I hope there is a solution I can use before it comes down to towing to a garage. Thanks to All ... Have A Great Day!
