Default 97 lantra window washer problems

Hi all as you can see I am new to this forum and I am new to the lantra 97 itself for some reason the window washers are not working and are not even making a sound when pressed on the stalk I took a look at the location of the fuse on the fuse box and there seems to be no pins inside the fuse box for the fuse to be inserted but there is washers in the bonnet and a full tank of washer fluid could anybody possibly give me a clue or any help on how to fix this ? Unfortunately it’s that time of year where the roads are rubbish and it makes it barely impossible to see without the washers any help would be great!
Kind regards Luke

Are you sure you are looking at the correct location for the washer fluid motor fuse???
All cars need the washer fluid motor to function
And the way you make it sound .. it is like the thing was never installed or was taken out

Hi thanks for the response and yes I have checked the interior fuse box and the exterior fuse box and the interior fuse box has got the diagram of the correct fuse location but there is nothing there for the fuse to be held into this has completely baffled me as I really thought it could be just as simple as changing the fuse but I’m honestly not sure! What could you suggest to help even just to get the motor to work would be a bonus.

Here are some pics of the fuse box and as you can see there are no metal prongs for the fuse to connect to looking at the second fuse from the bottom left

It looks like there are two spots where the fuse can be
One is fuse 8 which is empty
The other is fuse 17 which has a 15 amp fuse in there already.
Could be for rear (RR) wiper/washer????
They both say wiper and washer.
Try turning on the wipers.
If they work then the fuse should be good.
But, you can also pull out the fuse and check it that way.
Or use a test light

If the fuse is good then it is most likely the washer motor is not operational.
Using a test light or a multi-meter, check the power to the motor (with and assistant)
If there is power to the motor and the motor is not working then replace washer motor
How to get to the washer motor or washer bottle?
That you would have to either figure out yourself or look in a manual for your car
