Santa Fe Trailer wiring

Santa Fe Trailer wiring
Hello fellow Santa Feians (Feyians??)
I have a 2007 Santa FE SE AWD I am basically happy with the vehicle. The problem is and continues to be the way in which the dealer and manufacturer represented the 'Trailer Pre-Wiring' and have avoided fixing the issue. During the purchase process I stressed that I needed this vehicle to tow trailers. That it came pre-wired for the trailer was a major incnetive to buy. After purchase it was eventually revealed that the pre-wiring is not really useful. Many calls to the Hyundai America customer service people gradually revealed that there is no adapter that plugs into the two plugs that are on the vehicle. THe 'plug and play' unit that I eventually purchased from a second dealer after the original dealer refused to sell it to me is not 'plug and play'. It is a factory unit that will splice into the brake lights and connect to the main fuse panel.
It is my opinion that Hyundai America knows that this is a problem. There must be something wrong with the wiring harness on the vehicle that their 'fix' is to splice into brake lights. I feel that I have been lied to on every level and consistently. I am very disappointed. I tried many times to come to a satisfactory end but was ignored. have a vehicle that I need to keep for 4 or 5 years and do not trust the dealer or the manufacturer. I think this is very unfortunate and a lousy way to run a railroad.
If anyone else thinks there should be a blanket appology with some sort of financial settlement, I am trying to put together a class action lawsuit. I have no idea how that will go or if it even has a chance. I think that laws were broken by Hyundai America. The product seems to be defective and they seem to want to cover up the problem. I purchased this vehicle due in part to written statements that are false. I feel that this is fraud. I am not a lawyer so it will remain to be seen.
My e-mail is swordhyundai@hotmail.com. I'll try to respond as time permits.
