Kia Optima- Sonata's sister model
Hey guys, I was just browsing through the web for some more Hyundai Sonata images and news and I found this: next Kia Optima
According to that blog, the up-coming Kia Optima is a twin model of new Sonata. It shares its platform and engines with Hyundai sibling. The model will make its official debut at the 2010 April Auto Show and that is when Kia will release more data about the car.

Optima and Sonata been same car since at least 2000, only real difference been Kia or Hyundai trim and proprietary module info (they don't share)... You can access OBD-II witih generic, but that as far as it goes ( I cannot access KIA SRS/ABS/ESC/BCM info with Hyundai scanner, and other way around

Kia continues to offer a derivative of the old 2.7 liter V6 in the Optima, at least through the 2010 model year. I think Hyundai decided a long time ago to phase that engine out with further refinement of the Theta and Lambda designs.
