RE: susp help
When it comes to making any vehicle handle better thaere are a few things that never fail. Strut tower bars are a good, cheap start. They increase rigidity while handling and help cut down chasis flex. They are usually easy to aquire if you know what you are looking for. You may not always be able to find them for your specific ride but thats ok. You used the term redneck-up, and believe me that is one of my specialties. If you can't find strut bars for your ride just measure the distance between the struts, and hood clearance. Lot's of makes and models share the same wheel base and often strut distance, you may find that an Accord brace may fit. Take measurements and start looking at the ones available. If they are a little off do a simple cut and weld. Another way to improve handling is by dropping your ride a little. This decreases the ammount of body roll in tight corners and put more weight to the tire patch on the road. A decent set of coil-overs will do the trick. If you can't afford them or find a way to rig some up, there is a last ditch alternative. Heating the springs will do the trick. You will achieve the handling and the look you desire but, you can't put them back again and the ride will be rough when the road gets bumpy. So the choice is yours, I've given you regular alternatives as well as redneck ones, take your pick.
